The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is intended for workers who want to live in the province/territory that nominates them, wish to become permanent residents of Canada, and have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the same province/territory.
Each Canadian province offers distinct immigration programs, which can support your immigration journey through ‘Express Entry’ or by applying directly to the PNP. This diversity allows provinces and territories to actively select immigrants who align with their local labor market needs. Many PNPs include employer-driven streams. In these streams, workers can be nominated based on a permanent, full-time job offer, provided they meet provincial or territorial nomination requirements. These requirements may include specific occupations, education, work experience, official language proficiency, and age. PNPs empower provinces and territories to nominate individuals for permanent residence. This strategic approach ensures that immigrants fulfill specific local labor market requirements
Provinces typically offer several streams within their PNPs. These streams often fall into the following clusters
